On October 16 2018, the Student Branch organized a sharing session with a Customer Contact Specialist and a Customer Services Officer from Cathay Pacific. Students were able to gain further insight into these two very important roles, hear interesting anecdotes about their line of work, and of course learn more about a potential career at Cathay Pacific.
About the Sharing: Customer Contact Specialists are at the very front line to assist airline passengers, providing different customer services such as reservation, after-sales support and enquiry handling. On the other hand, Customer Services Officers at Cathay Pacific and Cathay Dragon are the face and brand ambassadors for the two airlines that you meet when you check in for your flight at the airport. In addition to providing customer service at check-in counters, they have other dynamic roles to play at the airport, including the opportunity to work on the front line (Airside/Landside) and opportunities to work across Premium Service, Flight Control, Ticketing and Rostering Teams.
