On March 22 2018, the AIAA HKUST Student Branch invited Allen Chan, Regional Director of Marketing at Boeing Commercial Airplanes to deliver a presentation about the Boeing 777X Program. A few lucky members of the audience were also able to win some Boeing merchandise!
About the 777X: Building on the success of the 777 and 787 Dreamliner families, the 777X will be the largest and most efficient twin-engine jet in the world, unmatched in every aspect of performance. Hong Kong’s flag carrier Cathay Pacific Airways has placed an order for 21 777-9 aircraft, with deliveries scheduled to begin in 2020.
