TALK: “SUCCESS FORMULA TO BECOME AN AIRLINE PILOT” BY NIGEL LEUNG

On October 6 2017, the Student Branch hosted a career talk “Success Formula to Become an Airline Pilot” by Nigel Leung.

Students were able to get a better understanding on how to prepare to be an airline pilot and contribute to the ever-growing aviation industry.

Bio: Before founding Aero Institute, Nigel Leung was an airline pilot with a local airline, accumulating a total of 5100 flying hours with type ratings in Airbus A320/321 and A330 aircraft types. In addition, he obtained his Master’s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from London Imperial College, and is a holder of the Hong Kong Airline Transport Pilot License (with ICAO English Proficiency Level 6), and Australian Private Pilot Licence.

Nigel founded Aero Institute in 2009, as he saw a lack of aviation training in Hong Kong provided by the private sector. Aero Institute aims to spread aviation knowledge by providing students with high quality training by aviation professionals, and to cultivate future pilots and other aviation professionals among the local population. Recently, Aero Institute has also expanded to Macau, Singapore and Mainland China
