Recapping our past few visits, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Civil Aviation Department (CAD), Government Flying Service (GFS) and Hong Kong Aero Engine Services Limited (HAESL) for providing us with invaluable opportunities to explore their facilities on November 24th, January 5th, and March 25th, respectively.
As an educational institution with a strong engineering foundation, our visits aimed to encompass various sectors within the aviation industry, going beyond the sole focus on engineering. This motivated us to not only organize visits to GFS and HAESL to learn about their engineering departments but also to visit CAD and gain insights into their air traffic control division.
Furthermore, the visits were inherently career-oriented, with the goal of providing students with a deeper understanding of job opportunities. Thanks to the detailed explanations provided by the representatives from the departments and companies, we gained valuable insights into the job duties associated with the positions they offer. Our students were able to gain a better understanding of the career development opportunities as well.
We extend our sincere appreciation once again to CAD, GFS, and HAESL for organizing such enriching tours. We hope the visits have served as an inspiration for our students to pursue careers in this fascinating aviation field in the future.
